Three of Upland’s largest employers are banding together to try to make the city a healthier place to live.
The city of Upland, Upland Unified School District and San Antonio Community Hospital are working on Healthy Upland, a program that will encourage residents to take advantage of health-related programs, according to a report originally published in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
Officials with each entity began working on individual plans, but then decided a group effort would be more effective, according to the report.
Upland officials have said they will include healthy living elements in the city’s general plan, and the city is receiving assistance from the Randall Lewis Health Policy Fellowship, which is part of the Lewis Group of Companies, according to the report.
