Montgomery “Monty” Van Wart has been named Cal State San Bernardino’s outstanding professor for the 2022-23 academic year.
A professor of public administration at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, Van Wart was recognized for his “dedication to students, junior faculty, and the university,” according to a statement on the university’s website.
“He has committed to an impressive level of service activity, all the more impressive considering the time and energy he puts into teaching and research,” said Tomas D. Morales, president of Cal State San Bernardino, in the statement.
“His scholarship is really first-rate and serves as a role model for others to emulate.”
Van Wart has been a faculty member at Cal State San Bernardino since 2005, according to the statement.
