An estimated 10,000 people are expected to participate in the ninth annual Believe Walk, scheduled to held Sunday in Redlands.
The 5K walk, which is sponsored by Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer, has donated more than $3 million to local cancer-fighting organizations since the event was started in 2008, according to a statement.
The walk, which is scheduled to start at 8 a.m., will begin at State and Orange streets in downtown Redlands and conclude at the Redlands Bowl, 25 Grant St.
This year’s event will include live music, motivational cheer groups and “Bark and Believe” stations for dogs. A Survivor Celebration will be held before the race, and the day will conclude with the Believe Bash celebration after the walk.
Free parking will be available at Redlands Mall, the parking structure at Citrus Avenue, the parking lot off Redlands Boulevard and on streets where parking is permitted.
The walk will be held “rain or shine,” according to the statement.
