Walk to fight cancer scheduled

Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer will host the 12th annual Believe Walk Oct. 6 in downtown Redlands.

Participants will walk a family-friendly and dog-friendly 5K route lined with live music, other entertainment and cheer groups, all while raising money to fight cancer, according to a statement on the company’s website.

Pre-event festivities will include a Survivor Celebration at Ed Hales Park. That event will also offer support to people currently fighting cancer.

Pre-walk activities and registration are scheduled to start at 6:30 a.m. The walk will being at 8 a.m. at State and Orange streets. 

Since 2008, Stater Bros. Charities Believe Walk has donated more than $5.1 million to local cancer-fighting organizations, according to the statement.
