A 400,000-square-foot warehouse-distribution facility in Moreno Valley has been approved.
The city council voted 5-0 Tuesday to approve the project, which is being developed by First Industrial, according to report first published by The Press-Enterprise.
Council members took that action despite some public opposition to the development and an environmental impact report that found the building will add to traffic, noise and air pollution.
The project, which is being developed without a signed tenant, will be built on 17.3 acres at the southwest corner of Perris Boulevard and San Michelle Road. It is expected to create about 190 jobs and generate some tax revenue for the city, according to the report.
