Ten workers who were suspended from their jobs at a Jurupa Valley warehouse-distribution center have been reinstated.
The employees at Olivet International were suspended Aug. 16 after they complained about high temperatures inside the facility, according to a published report.
Their reinstatement came after Rep. Mark Takano, D-Riverside, wrote a letter to Olivet asking about charges of labor abuse and wrongful termination at the Jurupa Valley facility.
Warehouse Workers United, a labor organization that organized a demonstration on behalf of the suspended workers, announced their reinstatement. The organization plans to pursue charges of unfair labor practices against Olivet, according to the report.
Olivet is a private company that makes and distributes luggage. The Jurupa Valley plant is its U.S. headquarters
