Good news for skiers and snowboarders: local ski resorts received up to five inches of snow on Sunday and Monday.
Now the not-so-good news: the rest of the week is expected to be dry, although some rain is forecast for next weekend, according to multiple reports.
Looking further ahead, Southern California may see more traditional winter weather patterns, as snowfall could reach as low as 5,500 square feet.
More than one foot of snow fell in the local mountains during the past weekend, giving local resorts – Mountain High Resort in Wrightwood, which planned to reopen this week, and Big Bear Mountain Ski Resorts at Big Bear Lake – a chance at a normal winter season, the reports stated.
