Our “illustrious” leader, President Obama, delivered a commencement speech at the prestigious West Point military academy last week where crickets could be heard following his introduction compared to the boisterous cheers and applause George W. Bush received when he addressed the cadets years ago. Obama’s bottom line to the graduates was that they must lead on the world stage, whereas Bush encouraged graduates to be determined and relentless in keeping American people away from harm, and expressed his confidence of the future because of the courage and patriotism of the graduates. Do you remember when we had a president who loved America? Do you remember when it felt good to hear the president talk despite the lack of eloquence?
Obama negotiated the release of Bowe Bergdahl by liberating five dangerous American-hating terrorists. As the story unfolded, members of Bergdahl’s unit came forth with the truth: Bergdahl was ashamed at being an American and snuck off in the middle of the night leaving behind his uniform. Because of his voluntary desertion, American soldiers sent to search for him were killed in the process. Obama maintained that his basic principle is no person in uniform will be left behind. Bergdahl discarded his American uniform and embraced the Muslim way of life.
Shortly after Bergdahl’s disappearance there were immediate attacks on his unit by Afghan rebels who seemed to have inside intelligence. Soldiers in his unit died as a result. Coincidence? As the truth came to light that we traded five dangerous killers for one deserter, anger befell the nation, including on Democrats and myself. This president of ours went against the law that he signed in 2012, the Intelligence Authorization Act, that requires 30-day notification to Congress before any proposed transfer of detainees at Guantanamo Bay occurs. Obama acted illegally, and his actions are reminiscent of tyranny. Here is yet another example of an impeachable act – the Benghazi cover-up, the Fast & Furious and VA hospital scandals, and the list goes on. But we can’t impeach a Black president, especially the first Black president, otherwise it will make us racist and worsen the racial issues we already have in this country.
If no person in uniform is left behind, then explain why Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi is still rotting away in a Mexican prison two months after he woefully made a wrong turn and ended up across the border with three legally registered firearms? He is being beaten and chained. Left behind. How about Benghazi? Why was Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others left to fend for themselves in a region that was quickly escalating in unrest? They were left behind.
To all you liars – the Obama administration – you can’t pull the wool over our eyes for too long. Eventually the truth will come out. Honest Americans, like the soldiers in Bergdahl’s unit and doctors at the Phoenix VA hospital, came forth to tell us the truth, unlike the web of deceit continuously spun by the White House.
Now switching gears to the results of the primary election – I take credit that Neel Kashkari beat Tim Donnelly because I put him on the show, and I received some flak for endorsing him. The complaints weren’t related to anything of significance and we need to stop getting tied up on the little stuff. There are big problems in this state and we need someone with the ability to make changes in economic policies and business regulations to entice new businesses to California and keep existing businesses here instead of taxing them to the point of non-profitability. Kashkari is capable of rebuilding California and his success in deflecting economic disaster through his management of TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) proves his competency. A person’s views on gay marriage and abortion should have no bearing on who we elect to run the state, we need to focus on the major problems plaguing California.
Let the free market dictate the economy. It has been doing so for almost 240 years. If people are given the opportunity to work, they will. If they have to choose between working or starving, they’ll work. But if you keep handing out EBT cards to them, where’s the incentive of earning a decent wage?
I recommend the book “Unintimidated” by Scott Walker who broke the union contract with schools in Wisconsin. In the first year health care premiums for teachers rose 8.8 percent, until insurance brokers realized teachers could shop the free market. Rates dropped and premiums were nine percent lower than what they were paying through the union. Every school district in Wisconsin saved $1 – $2 million a year and significant improvements were seen in quality of education.
