Three more city parks get WiFi

WiFi installed at trio of Moreno Valley parks

Moreno Valley has installed WiFi in three more parks, bringing to 35 the number of parks in the city equipped with that technology.

WiFi Gardens is now availability at JFK Park, 15111 Indian St. and Pedrorena Park, 16109 Rancho Del Lago, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The service around the Civic Center Amphitheater has also been enhanced. Wireless Fidelity allows electronic devices like smartphones, computers, and tablets and other devices connect to the internet.

“It’s exciting to see our WiFi Gardens continue to open in parks and facilities across the city,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “In addition to the social and educational benefits, the high-speed internet also helps them to access city resources, support, and information.”

WiFi Gardens allow residents access to the internet without having to use a password. Green WiFi Gardens signs have been posted wherever the service is available, according to the statement.
