Barring any legal challenges, a Walmart Supercenter will be built in Wildomar.
The city council Wednesday voted 5-0 in favor of the project, which will be developed on 22 acres near the interchange of Interstate 15 and Bundy Canyon Road in the northern part of the city, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
The store will cover 186,000 square. It will be the largest retail project in the history of the city, which incorporated in 2008 but traces its roots to the late 1800s.
One resident spoke against the project. Walmart first proposed the store before Wildomar incorporated, but the development was put on hold when the recession hit, the report stated.
