Williams named Rialto’s city manager

Tanya Williams has been named Rialto’s city manager.

Williams, who has worked in the city manager’s office since 2022, was hired following a nationwide search during which 29 people applied for the job, according to a statement released by the city.

Willams, Rialto’s first female city manager, was approved unanimously by the city council earlier this month.

“Tanya Williams’ hiring represents a milestone for our community,” Mayor Joe Baca said in the statement. “Tanya loves Rialto, believes in Rialto and wants to be in Rialto. We’re fortunate to have her lead our team of city professionals.”

Williams was originally hired as assistant to the city manager, after having served in executive positions with San Bernardino and Indian Wells, according to the statement.
