Willins named Staters’ VP of finance

Irene Willins has been named Stater Bros.’ vice president of finance.

Willins, who joined the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain in 2000 as a financial analyst, will report to Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer Dave Harris, according to a statement.

“Irene’s promotion recognizes the important role she has played over the years in helping manage the financial operations of our company,” said Stater Bros. Chief Executive Officer  Pete Van Helden in the statement.

Willins’ most recent position was senior controller in accounting-finance. In her new job she will oversee several aspects of Stater Bros. day-to-day financial matters, including payroll, accounts payable, budgeting and forecasting, according to the statement.
