Eastvale to help test emergency vehicles

Eastvale will help test three-wheel vehicles designed to get first-responders to emergencies quicker.

The electric devices, which can also be used by security and law enforcement personnel, are called Rapid Responder and are being produced by Arcimoto, an electric vehicle manufacturer in Eugene, Ore.

The city of Eugene is also participating in the program. The devices are expected to be ready sometime in 2020.

“The City of Eastvale is excited to test this vehicle for a number of reasons,” City Manager Bryan Jones said in the statement. “They are electric, quiet, and air-quality friendly, which is important for the greater Inland Empire basin. I could see these would be great for first responders during special events or medical calls when a fire engine may not be required.”
