Logistics Firm Raises its Inland Empire Profile

A third-party logistics firm has leased a large parcel of industrial space on the Inland Empire’s west side.

Custom Goods will occupy 441,970 square feet at the ProLogis Rancho Cucamonga Distribution Center, 8369 Milliken Ave., according to a statement released Wednesday by Jones Lang LaSalle Inc., which helped negotiate the deal.

Terms of the lease, and the number of people who will work at the facility, were not released.

Custom Goods already operates eight warehouse-distribution facilities in Southern California, including one in Ontario and another in Rancho Cucamonga. The latter is also in the ProLogis operation.

This transaction will double the company’s presence in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the statement.

Jones Lang La Salle represented Custom Goods in the lease negotiations, while ProLogis represented itself.

“The ProLogis building in Rancho Cucamonga [provides] Custom Goods an opportunity to double their warehouse and distribution capabilities and remain within the ProLogis portfolio,” said Louis Tomaselli, senior managing director with Jones Lang LaSalle.

“The building also provides over 100 trailer parking spaces, a key competitive advantage in the Southern California market, where the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach charge heavy fees for containers parked at the docks 24 hours after unloading.”
