More COVID-19 clinics for Riverside County

Riverside County has received 26,000 doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, nearly 4,000 of which will be used at six clinics that opened Thursday.

The clinics in Lake Elsinore, Perris, and Indio are for people in Phase 1A (all tiers) and Phase 1B (tier one, which includes people 65 and older), according to a statement on the county’s website.

“This is important news to so many of our residents who are eager to be vaccinated,” said Supervisor Karen Spiegel in the statement. “We also ask for your patience. We continue to have very limited vaccine quantities and a high demand for it. The county is distributing vaccine as quickly as we receive it.”

Anyone who wants to get vaccinated can visit www.ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine to register and make an appointment. Those over 65 who need help registering can call 2-1-1.

Clinics are scheduled for:

  • Saturday at Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Drive, Lake Elsinore. The Saturday clinic is for individuals 65 and older, and an appointment is required.
  • Sunday and Monday at the Perris Fairgrounds, 18700 Lake Perris Drive, Perris. The Monday clinic is for people 65 and older. An appointment is required.
  • Saturday and Sunday at the Indio Fairgrounds in the Fullenwider Auditorium, 46350 Arabia St. Indio.

The clinics will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and all vaccinations are free. Everyone must register ahead of time, have an appointment, and show proof of eligibility.
