On The Move

Rich Mirman has been named publisher of The Press-Enterprise.

Mirman succeeds Mike Burns, who has been publisher of the Riverside-based daily newspaper since November of a last year, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

“The Press-Enterprise has a history of delivering exceptional, high-quality journalism dating back to 1878,” Mirman said in a statement. “I am honored to be part of this heritage and community. I look forward to strengthening our connections with the community and learning how we can better serve the needs of subscribers and advertisers.”

Mirman, who has more than 20 years experience in different industries, has been publisher of the Orange County Register since October. He will oversee day-to-day operations at both newspapers, according to the report.

The Register and Press-Enterprise are both owned by Freedom Communications in Santa Ana.
