Palm Springs “State of the City” scheduled

Palm Springs is scheduled to hold its annual State of the City luncheon Sept. 6 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

The event is will start at 11:30 a.m., with Mayor Robert Moon to begin delivering his remarks at noon.

Video updates from council members J.R. Roberts, Geoff Kors, Lisa Middleton and Christy Holstege will also be presented. Those will cover economic development, tourism, business, homeless programs and other programs.

Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend. Free seating will be available for anyone who wants only to hear the speech.

The luncheon, which is being sponsored by the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, will be broadcast during September on Palm Springs Community Television Ch. 17. It will also be available at www.palmspringsca.gov.
