Poore, of UCR, elected to advertising board

Jacob Poore has been elected lieutenant governor of the American Advertising Federation’s 15th district board of directors.

A communications specialist with UC Riverside’s Information Technology Services Division , Poore was elected this month during the federation’s national conference Hollywood, Fla., according to a statement.

He is scheduled to begin his term July 1. The 15th district includes seven federation clubs that operate in the Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas.

Poore was president of the federation’s Inland Empire chapter from in 2012 and 2013, and was its education chair from 2013 through 2015. 

Based in Washington, D.C., the federation is known as “the unifying voice for advertising” in the United States. It has more than 200 clubs nationwide that represent nearly 40,000 advertising professionals, according to the statement.
