Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week’s show is packed with information every voter – regardless of political affiliation — should hear in order to be a truly informed American voter.  It’s a show not to be missed!

This just in – secret recordings from Chelsea Clinton’s New York apartment…

To begin the show Ed focuses on a clip from the Denzel Washington movie, “Flight” as a humorous take on Hillary being carried inside Chelsea’s apartment in poor shape and then Hillary coming out an hour later professionally dressed, made-up and ready to go back on the campaign trail.  They sure got Hillary “fixed up!” Hillary – “…banana boat’s a-coming…two small puffs, one on each side…”   Go rent the movie “Flight!”

Ed thinks Hillary must have just needed a little more than Gatorade to pump her up.

After this humorous spot Ed turns his attention to the upcoming debates.  No coffee breaks during the debates, no coughing breaks with which Hillary may have a hard time.  It still seems like something is going on with her health! And Hillary’s request for a step-stool at the debate so she doesn’t seem so short –we wouldn’t want Donald’s 6’2” frame to appear to be beating up on Hillary – would we?

Polls are closing in on Hillary. Real Clear News reports that Hillary is still leading – but only by two points. Check out NBC News/Wall Street Journal, LA Times/USC Tracking, on and on to see that the spread between the candidates is closing up.

Ed reviews “Right to Work” and what it is, why it came to be, and how Clinton rails on her labor supporters to get out there so she can lead by 50 points.  She rails at Trump’s decisions to hire labor busters, stiffing small businesses and contractors and sub-contractors.  Ed refers to Hillary as “slimy.”  Think about it folks! Wisconsin’s governor Scott Walker turned that state around by breaking up the unions – maybe there’s some business common sense there. Don’t buy into Hillary’s BS.

As for Hillary’s concern that the questions for the debate are being subjected to a “lowering of the bar” because Donald doesn’t want the terrorists to have their international security plans. Isn’t this, too, good business sense?

On Fox’s Outnumbered questions were posed about cleaning email servers. Hillary – your staff knew how to clean the screen with more than a cloth!

For the terrorist attacks this past week in New York City and Seaside, New Jersey, Ed details the characteristics of Middle Eastern terrorists (they wear their watches on the right side!) But according to Bill DeBlasio and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who said there is no international terrorist connection.  Because pipe bombs, pressure cookers are not international terrorism.  But an intelligence officer speaking on Fox News said that 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami is a natural born Afghani and became a naturalized U.S. citizen. But Rahami’s father, Mohammed, spoke to reporters saying he had previously warned the FBI that his son might be a terrorist.  Ahmad Rahami had traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2005, 2011 and 2013 and in a notebook he kept — that was found at the scene where he was captured in Linden, New Jersey — mentioned the Tsanaev brothers, AKA the Boston bombers; Major NIdal Hassan, AKA the Fort Hood shooter; and he mentioned being influenced by Al-Queda, Boko Haram and, of course, ISIS.

Did Ahmad Rahami act alone? Ed refers to this possibility but Rahami’s wife is being questioned, and is supposed cooperating with the investigators.  But his brother could be another matter. Ed offers some really great suggestions how travel can be made safer.

Does anybody remember a shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino?  County Health Inspector Syed Rizwan Farook and his Pakistani wife Tashfeen Malik (who supposedly radicalized Farook to become a fanatic Islamic) killed how many and injured some 20 people with a wild shooting spree. But have the liberals have yet to acknowledge terrorism when it happens?

In the show’s second half, Ed reviews the on-going Charlotte police protests. Hillary was quick to blast that this was racism when Keith Scott, an African-American that was shot and killed.  She mouthed-off before she had all the facts.  The responding officer who shot Scott was African American and the Charlotte Police Chief, Kerr Putney, is also African American.  Now they’re burning down the city for what reason?  Hillary has since reversed her tune. Democrat Attorney General Loretta Lynch also sounded off on the issue and Ed took her to task per the movie “Goodfellas” where the analogy between spitting on your own floor is as insane as burning down your own city!

Ed said – “Something has got to change in this country and it starts with how we raise our kids. I was always more afraid of how my parents would respond if I misbehaved than I ever was of the police. Blacks apparently think they get a pass in how they raised their kids; nobody does or should.”

Ed wraps up his show with clips from Obama as he addressed the Congressional Black Caucus for the last time as president.  Obama railed at his brothers saying, “You want to give me a good send-off. Go vote!” Princeton African American studies professor Eddie Glaude found the speech “condescending…”

And for a lighter tone check out the show’s conclusion with Hillary and Zach Galifianakis of “Between Two Ferns” and the analogy around what tie Trump will wear during the debate.  Hillary suggested it would be his red power tie but Galifianakis was quick to say it would be a white power tie.  In wrapping up the show Ed explains the white power tie.  You’ll want to catch this bit!

Be sure and watch the debate on Monday night.  It’s guaranteed to be a national moment for the ages!

You don’t want to miss this week’s show!
