Restaurant opens in Moreno Valley

Country Kitchen, the 80-year-old restaurant chain that specializes in homemade meals, has opened in Moreno Valley.

The restaurant at 12980 Day St. held its official grand opening Tuesday, about three weeks after it began serving customers in an extended “soft opening,” said Alyia Manasrah, the restaurant’s manager.

Located at the northeast corner of Day Street and Eucalyptus Avenue, the restaurant – which employs 11 people  – has done a  “steady business” since to opened, Manasrah said.

It has outdoor seating during the pandemic.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Country Kitchen to our community,” said Mayor Gutierrez in a statement on the city’s website. “As a former business owner, I appreciate the determination it takes to open a business in normal times, let alone during a pandemic. So I urge residents to come and patronize these new businesses, including Country Kitchen.”

The restaurant is in The Quarter, a commercial development anchored by two hotels, retail shops, and several other restaurants. It’s the first Country Kitchen in Moreno Valley, according to Manasrah.
