CSUSB delegation holds online talks with state officials

Cal State San Bernardino President Tomas D. Morales and a group of students, alumni and faculty are meeting virtually this week with state legislators and government officials.

The sessions, which began Tuesday and are scheduled to last through Friday, are part of Advocacy Day, in which representatives from the 23 campuses normally meet with state and government officials in Sacramento to discuss issues pertaining to the California State University system.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s Advocacy Day is being held online.

Issues of concern include the investment of additional state funding. The Cal State University system is dealing with a recent state budget cut of nearly $300 million, along with losses of more than $700 million from self-support enterprises.
