Cal State University San Bernardino receives grant money

UofR raises $215,000

Nearly 1,000 friends of the University of Redlands recently raised more than $215,000 for the university, money that will help 80 different funds at the school.

The gathering of alumni, parents, employees and students was in support of Giving Day, which began in 2019 but was canceled last year because of COVID-19, according to a statement on the university’s website.

“Giving Day was an incredible success, with awesome synergy and creativity that demonstrated our commitment to and pride in Bulldog Athletics,” said Associate Director of Athletics Rachel Roche in the statement. “We are grateful for all of the work that went into planning the event, the support that came from it, and the hope it has given us.”

This year’s Giving Day brought the university closer to completing its $200 million Forever Yours campaign, with more than $192 million in gifts and commitments so far, according to the statement.
