John Sebree has been named chief executive officer of the California Association of Realtors.
The chief executive officer of the Missouri Realtors for the past seven years, Sebree succeeds Joel Singer, who announced his retirement this year after 43 years with the Los Angeles-based trade association, according to a statement.
“I’m honored to be named the association’s next chief executive officer,” Sebree said in the statement. “My goal is to ensure the organization is the preeminent source of essential business services, and the strongest force advocating for our members’ interests.
Sebree was selected by the association following a nationwide search.
Before joining the Missouri Realtors, Sebree was senior vice president of public policy for the Florida Realtors.
He also worked in the government affairs division of the National Association of Realtors in Washington, D.C., where he was a senior legislative representative working with eight states’ congressional delegation, according to the statement.
