ONT named fastest-growing U.S. airport… again

Ontario International Airport has again been named the fastest-growing airport in the United States by a major aviation trade publication.
For the fourth consecutive year, Global Traveler  – whose readership is primarily frequent business travelers who fly both domestically and internationally – recognized Ontario International as the country’s fastest-growing airport, according to a statement on the airport’s website.

Global Traveler published the survey results in its December edition.

Ontario International, now in its fifth year of local ownership, has done a solid job dealing with the pandemic. Between July and November of this year, nearly 2.4 million passengers flew into or out of the airport, only four percent fewer than the same period in 2019 and 137 percent higher year-over-year.

Since the start of 2021, airlines serving Ontario have added service to Honolulu, Austin, Houston, Mexico City, El Salvador, Chicago O’Hare, and Reno-Tahoe, according to the statement.
