CSUSB, Stater Bros. form partnership

Cal State San Bernardino has established a program in which Stater Bros. employees will be able to earn a bachelor’s degree in administration.

The program, which the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain is paying for and promoting among its employees, is being administered through the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, according to a statement on the university’s website.

Stater Bros., employees get a 15 percent tuition discount, and the company – the largest private employer based in the Inland Empire and the largest privately held supermarket chain in Southern California – will reimburse 15 percent of each participant’s tuition.

Courses are similar to the school’s regular bachelor of arts in administration program but are offered online. The program is designed for students who have taken lower-division courses and is meant to be completed in 60 units, according to the statement.
