Former San Bernardino County Supervisor Josie Gonzales is now the county’s assessor-recorder-county clerk.
Gonzales was elected to that office in November and sworn in Jan. 6, according to a statement on the county’s website.
The assessor-recorder-county clerk’s office maintains property records and is responsible fore ensuring fair property assessments for all residents. Gonzales will oversee property value designations, manage property records, and oversee document recording, birth, death, and marriage certificates, among other responsibilities.
“I am honored to serve as assessor-recorder-county clerk,” Gonzales said in the statement. “I look forward to working with my team to continue enhancing the services we provide, improving transparency, and ensuring that all residents are treated with fairness and respect.”
