Starlux Airlines will begin service between Ontario International Airport and Taiwan this spring.
The Taipei-based carrier is scheduled to start flights to and from both destinations on June 2, according to a statement on Ontario International’s website.
The nonstop flights will operate four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They will leave Ontario International at 11:10 p.m. local time and arrive in Taipei at 4:15 a.m. two days later.
Return flights will depart Taipei at 8:05 p.m. local time and arrive in Ontario at 5:05 p.m. on the same day.
“We look forward to welcoming Starlux travelers to the convenience of Ontario International Airport and all that our great region has to offer,” said Alan D. Wapner, Ontario City Council member and president of the airport’s board of commissioners, in the statement.
Ontario International accommodated 438,896 international passengers in 2024, a 5.1 percent year-over-year increase and the most in the airport’s history, according to the statement.
