The Riverside University Health System recently held a “topping out” ceremony at the Mead Valley Wellness Village, a major project expected to open in early 2027.
The ceremony, which was attended by health system officials and local dignitaries, marks the finish of the18-acre project’s structural development, according to a statement on Riverside County’s website.
Under development at Harvill and Placentia avenues, the Wellness Village will include primary care, dental services, behavioral health services, and a pharmacy. The goal is to place behavioral health services, medical care and social support in one location.
“Each beam that has been placed represents our dedication to creating a future where quality, holistic care is available right in the heart of our communities,” said Supervisor Jose Medina, who represents the first district, where the project is being built. “With the Wellness Village, we’re ensuring that families and individuals have access to a full spectrum of healthcare services without having to leave the community.”
