An Orange County bank has donated $10,000 to the Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire.
The grant from the First Foundation Bank in Irvine will help support the nonprofit’s Black Homeownership program throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to a statement.
“We are deeply grateful for First Foundation Bank’s support,” said Kailin Scott Peoples, executive director and chief executive officer of Neighborhood Housing Services, in the statement. “This investment will help us bridge the homeownership gap, and provide families with the tools they need to build generational wealth.”
The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco matched First Foundation’s donation with a $30,000 donation. That money will help African-American homeowners with financial education, down payments, and access to affordable mortgage loans.
Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire has more than 40 years creating affordable housing opportunities throughout the Inland region, according to the statement.
