Strykers team up with LLUH

The Inland Empire Strykers and Loma Linda University Health have formed a marketing partnership that makes LLUH a major sponsor of the professional soccer team.

The agreement, announced June 5, means the medical center’s logo will be featured on the team’s match jerseys, according to a statement released by the healthcare organization.

The partnership, which will allow the soccer team to expand its community outreach, will focus on collaborative health and wellness programs meant to help families in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

“By teaming up with the Empire Strykers, we’re not only supporting the growth of indoor sports, but we’re also championing a healthier future through movement, teamwork and connection,” said Dr. Anthony Hilliard, chief executive of officer of Loma Linda Health Hospitals, in the statement.

The Strykers will host an annual LLUH Employee Night with special in-game activities and community messages. Players will also take part in collaborative media campaigns, hospital visits, and themed match-day events designed to raise health awareness.

“This partnership just makes sense,” said Jeff Burum, managing partners of the Empire Strykers, in the statement. “We both believe in the power of people and the importance of community. It’s about working together to support the next generation, recognize hard work and create real impact.”

The Empire Strykers are members of the Major Arena Soccer League. They play their home matches at Toyota Arena in Ontario.
