Ontario International Airport has been named a top workplace by a company that studies and tracks workplace culture.
For the third consecutive year, Oakland-based A Great Place to Work has certified Ontario International “a great place to work” based on information provided by its employees, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Eighty nine percent of the employees surveyed described Ontario International as an excellent place to work, well above the 57 percent average of U.S. companies, according to a study conducted in July.
Ninety seven percent said special events are celebrated at work, 95 percent said they felt welcome when they joined Ontario International and 93 percent said they were proud to tell outsiders they work there.
Ontario International has also been awarded a Level 2 designation by the Airport Customer Experience Accreditation program. Level 2 accreditation “acknowledges that Ontario International has demonstrated a deep understanding of customer expectations through data analysis, journey mapping, frontline training and operational improvements,” according to a statement.
