Palm Springs International Airport is seeking bids to fill three small retail spaces in the city-owned operation.
The program airport officials call “Blank Slate” will cover one space in the Agua Caliente Concourse Courtyard of 324 square feet, one in that courtyard’s interior of 40 square feet, and a third space in the Main Courtyard of 220 square feet, according to a statement on the Palm Springs website.
Proposal for retail, food, and beverage concessions are being accepted. The 40-foot space will be for kiosks and vending machines.
The Agua Caliente spaces will be available before the end of this year, the Main Courtyard space one year from now. The goal is to find smaller vendors that complement the airport’s existing retail.
“These spaces give us a chance to bring in fresh concepts that reflect the sense of place that makes Palm Springs special,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., the airport’s executive director of aviation, in the statement “We’re especially encouraging local and regional brands to (locate) at the airport.”
Proposals must be submitted through the City’s PlanetBids portal no later than 2 p.m. PDT Dec. 3. All proposal documents, addenda, and instructions are available at: PlanetBids – City of Palm Springs.
