Ontario International Airport posted another solid month in February, despite higher interest rates and persistent inflation.
The airport’s passenger count increased 6.3 percent year-over-year last month, while the amount of cargo and mail it handled rose 10.3 percent, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
More than 478,000 passengers passed through Ontario International during the second month of 2026: the domestic count was 433,094, a 2.1 percent increase, while the international passenger count increased to 55,531, a 55.1 percent increase.
During the first two months of the year, the number of air travelers topped 971,000, a five percent increase year-over-year. The number of domestic travelers – 849,708 – was essentially unchanged, but the number of international travelers – 121,812 – represented a 60 percent increase, according to the statement.
