Improvement to Riverside’s Main Street to be discussed

Riverside will hold a community workshop later this month regarding updates to the South Main Street Complete Street Project.

Residents, business owners, and community members are invited to attend the session, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Riverside Salvation Army Corps, 3695 1st St, Riverside.

The South Main Street Complete Street Project is being paid for with a $11.1 million federal grant intended to make streets safer. Riverside will use the money to improve safety, access, and traffic flow along Main Street between Third Street and the 60 Freeway.
