Josh Dugas has been named director of San Bernardino County’s Behavioral Health Department.
Dugas, who has been interim director of the department since January, has nearly 25 years experience in executive leadership, fiscal administration, public health and community services, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“Josh is stepping into this role at an important time for behavioral health in San Bernardino County,” said Supervisor Dawn Rowe in the statement. “He brings a collaborative approach, a strong understanding of county operations and a focus on serving our communities well.”
Dugas started with the department as a registered environmental health specialist trainee. Since then he has held several executive positions, including assistant director, chief financial officer and director of public health, according to the statement.
