Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week, Ed opens the show by discussing a local matter that has received some national attention. The story involves homeowners being evicted from a property in Rialto – a property they were in foreclosure on and haven’t paid taxes on for some time. At the center of the debate is Wedgewood Inc., known to the public at Maxim Properties, the current owner of the property.  Ed will read from the Huffington Post piece that paints a less-than-truthful story – a story that says Wedgewood refused the family’s money in order to evict them. “That, I know is bull,” Ed says. “That is absolutely not true.”

He then takes time to tell Wedgewood’s side. “Companies like Wedgewood are buying distressed houses, fixing things and putting them back on the market to make a profit. That’s called capitalism. Not only are they making money to pay their own employees, but also for real estate agents, guys who fix roofs and guys who install carpets. We’re supposed to feel sorry for this family; well, I’m sorry you didn’t pay your bill.” Ed hopes to have a representative from Wedgewood on the show soon, in addition to the people behind the media push to stop the eviction – the people who are unethically publishing the home addresses and other personal information of Wedgewood executives online.

In the second half, we’re talking about the racial conversations that are all over this week’s election coverage. Ed will play Bill O’Reilly’s controversial “white grievance” comments this week and explains that while he agrees, it isn’t only whites who will be upset: “It’s people everywhere, because the top getter of votes is who is supposed to win.” Summing up his thoughts on Trump, Ed says, “People underestimate the value of getting things done.” He explains that the complaints of those who say they “lost money” on Trump University are people who didn’t do anything with it. “Education is just the first step to succeeding,” Ed says. “You have to do something with it.”

On this week’s show, you’ll also hear:

  • What Tavis Smiley means by “segregated campaign” and what Herman Cain thinks
  • Who Ed thinks Obama he is the President of (hint: It isn’t everyone)
  • The Clinton/Sanders drama that Democrats are trying to start to get attention
  • Which candidate would require you to pay the most taxes
  • What Bill Clinton said to BLM protestors that was surprisingly spot-on

There are plenty of politically incorrect insights on the show this week, so if you like blunt messages that motivate you to take care of your business, tune in to this week’s show!
