Temecula City Manager Aaron Adams has been named the 2026 City Manager of the Year by the California City Management Association.
The award “recognizes a city manager who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to serving their community,” according to a statement on the city’s website.
“This award highlights Aaron Adams’ commitment to excellence in public service to our city, and recognizes his leadership in guiding Temecula’s growth and vibrancy over many years,” Mayor Jessica Alexander said in the statement. “I deeply respect Aaron’s personal and professional dedication to Temecula.”
Adams began working for Temecula 30 years ago as a intern. He was promoted to multiple management and executive positions before being appointed city manager in 2012, according to the statement.
