Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-San Bernardino, on Monday visited Cal State San Bernardino’s Cybersecurity Center, a facility he played a major role in getting started.
Aguilar spoke to cybersecurity students about their research on driverless vehicles, preventing ransomware; and the center’s efforts to create cybersecurity apprenticeship in the Inland Empire, according to a statement on the university’s website.
Aguilar also met with the executive committee of the university’s Associated Students Inc. where they discussed higher education issues.
Two years ago, Aguilar helped obtain a $10.5 million grant from the National Security Agency to help develop the center, according to the statement.
