Avelo Airlines, an ultra-discount carrier based in Houston, is now offering flights from Ontario International Airport to the Bay Area.
The Houston-based airline began nonstop flights on Oct. 10 from Ontario International to Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, according to a statement on Ontario International’s website.
The flights are available on Thursday and Sunday. Fares start at $41, with fares available at AveloAir.com.
“We are confident that the new nonstop service between Ontario and the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport will be a hit with air travelers, and we look forward to building on our relationship with Avelo,” said Atif Elkadi, chief executive of the Ontario International Airport Authority, in the statement.
Avelo has flown more than 5.4 million passengers since it began operating in 2021. It serves 23 states and Puerto Rico, and has two international destinations, Jamaica and Mexico, according to the statement.
