Alaska Airlines is offering year-round flights from Palm Springs International Airport to Portland International Airport.
That service normally ends in June but is being extended to 12 months, according to a statement on Palm Springs’ website.
Palm Springs International now offers 14 year-round routes on nine airlines, the most in its history.
“This is a big win for Palm Springs and the entire Coachella Valley,” said Harry Barrett Jr., executive director of Palm Springs International, in the statement. “The demand for year-round connectivity keeps growing, and Alaska’s decision to extend this route is a testament to that. More full-time options is another step forward in making PSP a truly year-round gateway.”
Palm Springs International is owned and operated by the city of Palm Springs. It provides flights to more than 300 destinations worldwide, according to the statement.
