Another city shuts down facilities

Menifee has closed its city hall and other facilities because of the surge in COVID-19 cases.

Starting today, the Riverside County city has shifted to virtual and phone service exclusively during the temporary closure, according to a statement on the city’s website.

All facilities are expected to reopen Jan. 31.

City hall will be open virtually via the “Zero Stop Shop,” which provides online resources for many city services.

Also, customer service representatives will be available by phone from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (951) 672-6777.  Menifee police will available by phone at (951) 723-1500.

The senior lunch program will move to a drive-thru format starting Jan. 12, according to the statement.
