Hemet Police Chief Michael Arellano has been accepted into the FBI National Academy Session #297.
The leadership and professional development program attract law enforcement executives from all over the world, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Held at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va., the 10-week program began Jan. 7 and is scheduled to run through March 20.
Classes deal with advanced training in leadership development, management science, behavioral science, intelligence theory, law enforcement communications, and physical fitness. Attendees are selected based on leadership ability, experience, and commitment to public service.
“Hemet congratulates Chief Arellano on this distinguished achievement and looks forward to the leadership insights and professional experience he will bring back to the organization,” the statement reads.
