Auto museum to host display at Route 66 festival

Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles will sponsor a display at this year’s Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion.

This will be the first time the Los Angeles museum will participate in the two-day festival on Euclid Avenue,  according to a statement released today.

“We are proud to announce a partnership with Petersen Automotive Museum and thrilled they can be part of our Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion,” said Michael Krouse,  president, and chief executive officer of the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, in the statement.

“Our goal has always been to provide a safe, family-friendly, Classic Car show where visitors look forward to an annual trip to historic downtown Ontario. A relationship with Petersen Automotive Museum with their educational platform is a perfect fit for our event.”

Peterson Automotive Museum, 6060 Wilshire Blvd., is one of the largest automobile museums in the United States, with more than 300 vehicles in 25 galleries.

The Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion, which will mark its eighth year this year, was created by the Greater Ontario Visitors & Convention Bureau. Besides commemorating America’s infatuation with automobiles,, the free event pays tribute to historic Route 66 with contests, live entertainment, and food.
