BIA water conference to be held

The San Bernardino County chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California will hold its annual water conference next month.

The event is scheduled to be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, 222 N. Vineyard Ave.

Wade Crowfoot, secretary of California’s Natural Resource Agency, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.

A panel discussion, “Investing In Tomorrow’s Water,” will be held. Mark Grey, the BIA’s director of environmental affairs, will moderate the discussion.

The conference is a gathering of water experts, elected officials, business leaders and community stakeholders, during which the region’s water issues are discussed. It usually attracts about 300 people each year.

This year’s sponsors include the city of Ontario, County of San Bernardino, Toro, Inland Empire Utilities Agency, Mojave Water Agency, the Rebuild SoCal Partnership and many more.

A networking session and continental breakfast is scheduled to start at 7 a.m.
