Actor Billy Dee Williams will join this year’s Star Wars Reads event in Rancho Cucamonga, scheduled to be held May 28 and 29 at the Rancho Cucamonga Library at Victoria Gardens.
The annual event, which began eight years ago, promotes literacy, and reading among Inland Empire youth, according to a statement from the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, which is co-sponsoring this year’s gathering.
Thousands of Star Wars fans expected to gather for two days of fun and family time, and will have several entertainment options to choose from. Williams appeared in two of the original Star Wars movies, “The Empire Strikes Back” and “The Return of the Jedi.”
