Seven finalists will compete in the Greater Valley Innovation Showcase, a business-pitch competition scheduled to be held April 21 at the Palm Desert Entrepreneurial Resource Center.
The Randall W. Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino is sponsoring the event, during which each team will present an idea for a start-up business to a panel of judges.
The seven finalists are:
* ALONG, Palm Springs;
* Ana Silvia Lara Publishing LLC, Indian Wells;
* BASEstudio.io Palm Springs;
* BluCore Minerals, Palm Desert;
* Bureaucom LLC, Riverside County;

The Innovation Showcase is a stepping stone to the Riverside County Innovation Month Pitch Finale, where entrepreneurs compete for $20,000. That winner will then go on to represent Riverside County at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco, competing for a $1,000,000 investment prize.
The Greater Valley Events competition will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendance is free, and tickets are available at simpletix.com. The ERC Palm Desert is at 37023 Cook St., Suite 102.
