California Welcome Center marks five years

The California Welcome Center at Ontario Mills is about to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

The center, which has attracted more than one million visitors since it opened, will mark its five years in operation May 2 to May 8, in conjunction with National Tourism Week, according to a statement released today.

During those seven days, visitors will receive a gift and a chance to receive a $500 Simon Gift Card, which can be redeemed at any Ontario Mills establishment.

“We are very proud of our California Welcome Center” said Michael Krouse, president and chief executive officer of Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau,  which operates the welcome center, in the statement.

“Over the past five years we have welcomed national and international visitors to our region and we look forward to our continued excellent service of providing our guests with the tools to make their adventure in our area the best possible.”
