Chaffey College will offer four new computer technology classes this fall.
The classes in artificial intelligence, data science, development operations and game development will all offer certificates and associate degrees, according to a statement on the school’s website.
“Chaffey College is on the cutting edge of preparing students for careers of the future,” said David Nimri, professor of computer information systems, in the statement. “Jobs related to all four of these degree programs pay well over six figures, with positions growing by as much as 32 percent during the next decade.”
Last year, Chaffey College began granting a certificate in game development, a blending of computer science, digital art. An associate’s degree will be added because of increased demand in that field, according to the statement.
