Palm Springs affordable housing project gets state grant

City looks to help businesses upgrade

Palm Springs is ready to help businesses improve their appearance.

The Facade Improvement Grant Program will assist businesses by helping them create attractive storefronts and signs, which in turn will encourage investment in the city’s commercial properties, according to a stateement on the city’s website.

The program will including a matching grant up to $7,500 to help with the cost of outdoor improvements.

Signs, canopies, masonry walls, outdoor lights, landscaping and security fences are among the items covered by the program.

Applicants may apply for the program by downloading and completing an application on at palmspringsca.gov/facadeprogram. For more information call community development at (760) 323-8259.
