City of Hope, the world-famous cancer hospital and clinical research based in Duarte, has opened an outpatient clinic in Corona.
The two-story building at 320 W. 6th St. began operations earlier this month, according to a statement on the hospital statement.
The structure covers 32,500 square feet and is the largest of City of Hope’s 35-plus outpatient clinics in Southern California. It’s about three times the size of the clinic it’s replacing in Corona.
“The expansion of services at this site in Corona is another step in our promise to bring world-class cancer research, care and supportive resources to more patients,” said. Dr. Vijay Trisal, City of Hope’s chief medical officer, said in the statement. “With a hundred-year history of understanding that cancer does not just impact the patient, but it also impacts families and communities, we are bringing City of Hope closer to where people live.”
Services offered include medical oncology, chemotherapy, radiation oncology, imaging and surgical oncology, according to the statement.
